Born in Milan 1863, he grew up in the romantic Milan of the late nineteenth century. Subsequently, he continued his studies in Rome and above all in Naples, where he was a pupil of the Neapolitan painter Domenico Morelli (Naples 1823 - Naples 1901). He rarely exhibited in Italy but always successfully: as in Milan in 1883 at the Exposition of Fine Arts at Palazzo di Brera.
