Giovanni Giani "Appointment at the well"

Dimensions of the frame in cm. 100 x 75 Giovanni Giani was born in Turin in 1866, he attended the Albertina Academy winning several prizes in painting and composition. In 1891 he took part in the Brera triennial with C. Follini and A. Rossi. He became famous and conquered a large audience through an extensive genre production: "celebrations of courtyards, cloisters and parish library manors with books, furniture, fake flowers, eighteenth-century clocks, well-framed oleographs". He died in Turin in 1936
