COD: 10780
Great Dutch painting from the second half of the 19th century. Artwork oil on canvas, first canvas, depicting a romantic landscape of excellent pictorial quality. Painting of exceptional size adorned with an amazing coeval frame, in wood and plaster, finely carved and gilded. Structurally sound frame, with some lack of plaster decoration (see photo). Artwork of pleasant depth with mountains in the background and river on the right. On the left, the painter inserts a female figure immersed in nature (see photo). However, as in many romantic paintings, the real protagonist is nature itself, wild and immense, in front of which man is powerless. Painting signed on the bottom right (see photo), signature under study. Artwork that underwent a conservative restoration during the 20th century. In beautiful patina, overall in good state of conservation with some signs of the time. Sight size H 135 x W 161 cm.
