Oil painting on canvas framed in a carved and ebonized wood frame with guilloché design, enriched with briar inserts that accentuate its elegance. The painting depicts a half-naked woman, lying on a sumptuous small sofa. The woman, with a light pink veil covering her legs and lower body, leaves her breasts and waist uncovered. Her playful and seductive gaze is directed towards the viewer and the artist. The woman, resting on her right hand, also has her hair gathered towards her face, a typical hairstyle of the era. Curtains can be glimpsed in the background. The scene is distinguished by great mastery in the pictorial rendering and by the skillful use of light and shadow. In the lower right is the dedication "A Lucas D'Aprèo" and the signature of the artist "Tanoux", a well-known French painter of the Liberty style, famous for his female nudes. The painting dates back to the end of the 19th century. Measurements: H x W x D overall 86 x 125 x 6cm, H x W artwork only 60 x 99cm
