Oval painting with female portrait - O/5300 -
Oil painting on canvas, female portrait from the late 18th/early 19th century: young woman with a hat. On the reverse of the canvas, someone wrote "Madame de Warens in 1729", but the painter was probably inspired by the famous portrait in the Palace of Versailles depicting Yolande Martine Gabrielle de Polastron, Duchess of Polignac, a great friend and favorite of Queen Marie Antoinette and famous for her beauty (1749-1793).
