Beautiful painting of modest dimensions, made in oil on canvas and framed in a carved and gilded wooden frame. The painting depicts the portrait of a young woman with her hair up and beautiful curls in front, adorned with a red band and white and pink flowers. The young woman is represented in half-bust, with part of a low-cut dress in light blue and white visible, closed in the center by a flower. Her face and gaze are turned sideways, with great attention to detail in the rendering of the red mouth and eyes. The painting is attributed to an anonymous Italian painter active around the mid-19th century.
