The antique Still Life with Fruit painting presented here is a beautiful 19th-century oil painting on canvas, complete with a beautiful gilded frame from the same period.
This is a pleasant and rich still life with a plate and bowl of ceramics decorated with oriental motifs, and fruit with Peaches, Cherries, white and black Grapes, Oranges and a Pumpkin all resting on a tablecloth.
The 19th-century antique fruit still life is signed in the lower right by Pascal De Beucker, a Belgian painter of still lifes, portrait paintings, paintings of flowers and fruit.
Pascal De Beucker (1861-1945) was born in Antwerp, Belgium, and studied at the Antwerp Academy under the guidance of Farasyn and Lauwers. He painted many portraits of important people and still lifes with flowers and fruit with great ability to define details.
The antique painting and gilded frame have been carefully and professionally restored.
