The two canvases, of refined pictorial quality, sensitively capture the lagoon light and the poetic atmosphere of the Serenissima (Most Serene Republic of Venice). One of the views depicts the Grand Canal with the majestic Rialto Bridge, animated by gondolas and sailboats sailing the water. The other canvas shows a panoramic view of the Basilica della Salute and the San Marco Basin, immersed in a golden light that emphasizes the magnificence of Venetian architecture.
