The magnificent image of the Grand Canal with the Rialto Bridge and the surrounding palaces.
A scene of great movement on its waters in a fascinating panorama, rich in light and color.
The description of this fantastic place, even with all the features of late 19th-century painting, pays homage to the art of Francesco Guardi and his spectacular views, with the particularly clear and effective description of the characters and boats in the typical ways of the great Venetian master.
The large size of the painting increases the effect of the splendid perspective that leads the viewer's eye to the famous Bridge, a symbol of the city.
The canvas is in perfect condition complete with the original gilded frame.
Trentin Angelo (Udine 1850 – Vienna 1912) was a Friulian painter working mainly in Austria and Germany in the late 19th century.
He moved to Vienna at a very young age from 1869 to 1873 where he attended the Academy and the courses of C. Wurzinger and K. von Blaas, and then moved, from 1876 to 1880, to the Academy of Monaco of Bavaria as a pupil of L. Lofftz and O. Seitz.
He dedicated himself to portraiture and genre painting, capturing scenes of life with a worldly flavor.
His paintings appear mainly on the German and English markets.
