CHM893 - Elegant Carrara white marble fireplace in French Rococo style.
The precious white Carrara marble is known worldwide for its uniform pure white color with gray veins. Already appreciated by the ancient Romans, it has been used to create some of the most famous works of art in the world.
It has a wavy front with a rich central sculpted shell.
The legs are column-shaped with grooves and decorative capitals that recall vegetal motifs.
18th century. Provenance: France.
