Carved oak fireplace surround and overmantel mirror in the Neorenaissance style fashionable between the 19th and 20th centuries. Two columns with carved lion protomes support the fireplace mantel, upon which the mirror rests. The mirror frame is also carved with doubled columns on the pilasters, and the carved face of a monkey on the cymatium. Product condition: Due to its age and wear, this piece of furniture requires restoration work and repolishing.
