Pair of walnut scissor seats, convertible into a kneeler.
Tuscany, 17th century
It is an interesting example of a Baroque character among the various types of kneeling chair known since the 15th century. The upper folder in function of backrest, flips over the armrests hinged at one end, thus transforming the piece of furniture into a practical kneeler.
