Bedside table with door
Venetian bedside table, second half of the 1700s
in walnut wood, finished on all four sides.
The upper surface has a small border on three sides
to prevent objects placed on it from falling.
This edge is covered with walnut plating
to hide the head of the wood of the sides and back
The door opens to the left and
the internal compartment was divided by a small central shelf.
Originally it was probably a single space.
High, arched legs held together by wavy sides and crosspieces
Restored and shellac polished internally and externally
