This refined pair of stools was made in the Rococo period, in Turin, around the mid-18th century. Each stool has a lined seat in good condition, in green fabric, bordered by a gilded wooden thread that delimits its perimeter. The carved wooden structure is lacquered in blue and decorated with carved reliefs, lacquered in yellow. Finished on all four sides, the stools feature a central rocaille-style decoration with phytomorphic ornaments and a central fretwork bordered in gold. The uprights feature the yellow lacquered relief decoration with a central gilded element, which optically increases their volume and brightness. The leafy carving decoration is also present on the four legs near the feet. A golden thread is carved along the entire perimeter which, at the feet, draws a curl.
This elegant pair of stools, bright and decorative, is perfectly suited to be placed even in the center of the room. Easily combined with antique furniture, it can help enhance and enrich spaces furnished in a modern style.
