This large and important bookcase, made in England in the early 19th century, is entirely veneered in flame mahogany and finely inlaid on the front of the lower doors, with neoclassical decorations such as vases, garlands, and volutes.
The elegant bookcase consists of an upper part with glass doors and internal shelves. Architecturally, it has a central part with two doors and two lower, arched lateral portions that create movement, decoration, and grace to the whole. The central lower part is aligned with the upper one, while the sides are slightly set back to enhance the movement and give pleasing proportions and lightness to the piece of furniture.
This bookcase, of important dimensions, appears very decorative and pleasing; perfect in rooms with antique furnishings, it is equally well suited to furniture of modern taste.
