Modular pharmacy furniture
Oak Wood Bookcase/Pharmacy
Germany first half of 1900
Pharmacy furniture composed of three separate modules,
two with base and riser and the third to hang on the wall.
The lower part is equipped with drawers
some of which have inside them
the removable metal tub that contained
the products used to compose the medicines.
The upper part has shelves mounted on ladders
to adjust their height.
On the front of the drawers we find
the original plates with the Latin names
of the products contained inside.
To complete the furniture a small ladder that,
resting on the bases, was used to
easily reach the highest shelves.
The size of the two large modules is 180 cm wide,
38 cm deep and 241 cm high each.
The depth of the upper part is 18 cm
The hanging module measures 116 cm wide,
37 cm deep and 50 cm high.
Restored and polished completely with shellac
