Pair of antique 19th century Venice walnut stools
Pair of antique Venetian-made stools entirely carved and carved in solid walnut from the early 19th century. The model is inspired by a type of seat that has its roots in the 16th century especially in northern Italy and is characterized by a high back and legs in the form of corbels, both shaped and masterfully carved with ornamental motifs of eclectic taste. The legs are joined together by means of a crossbar. The backs are centered by two ovaloid-shaped heraldic shields having as a coat of arms a free field with a passing oblique strip. The whole development of the coat of arms is concentrated within fluttering neo-Renaissance cartocci. & Nb
