Beautiful small chest of drawers, walnut veneered, early 19th century, Empire style, from the Piedmont region of Italy. The chest of drawers is completely original and does not require restoration. The polishing was done with shellac using the “tampon” technique. The locks are in perfect working order and the key is original; note the quatrefoil-shaped keyhole.
