Large Chest of Drawers with Emilian Baroque Stand
Large chest of drawers with Emilian baroque riser, with a characteristic wavy and rounded silhouette on the front and on the sides, the latter open. Supported by wavy feet, the lower band is shaped, has three drawers and two upper side-by-side, placed under the top. The riser has a groove base in which there are a drawer and a drawer on the front; the upper part with glass on the front and on the sides served as a statue holder, originally opened only with a door on the back, it was modified in the nineteenth with the addition of a wooden panel on the bottom, while in the front a door has been obtained, and the internal shelf has also been added. Veneered in maple burl with walnut borders, the interiors are in poplar, bronze handles with pendant sockets and vents with a coat of arms depicting a pair of rampant facing lions dominated by a double-headed eagle with an imperial crown.
