Description: Magnificent Modenese chest of drawers (canterano) dating back to the 17th century. This piece of furniture stands out for its rare and refined beauty, a testament to the high cabinetmaking of the time.
Main Features:
Material: Walnut wood, with a splendid "herringbone" veneering that creates a dynamic and elegant visual effect. The drawers are framed by a thin boxwood thread inlay, which enhances their geometry.
Structure: The chest of drawers has three large front drawers, separated by rounded chains made with end-grain wood. The rigid and harmonious line of the furniture features a top with an ogee profile with the herringbone pattern reflected in the veneer.
Slipper feet.
Handles in finely crafted "C" shaped chiseled bronze with a floral motif, while the keyhole escutcheons feature a refined volute.
Antique locks and keys.
