SMALL PAINTED TRAVEL CHEST, 18TH CENTURY
Small travel chest (placed on the back of carriages) made of poplar wood painted with distemper in shades of blue, white, and red. The painting, which extends over the entire surface of the piece of furniture, also features geometric motifs on the front, sides, and top. On the sides are hand-forged iron handles. The base is corbelled, while the top can be opened, allowing objects to be stored inside. The chest is in good condition and is capable of furnishing any environment with class and antiquity. Tuscan manufacture from the early 18th century.
