This elegant pair of large Empire console tables was made in the early 19th century in Tuscany. The consoles have a rectangular top in black lacquered wood. On the front, they feature a large veneered wood drawer, decorated with gilded bronze handles and appliques, finely chiseled. On the sides, there are depictions of lyres with ribbons and volutes, while in the center, two griffins with spirals and leafy elements symmetrically surround the keyhole. The consoles rest on four columns lacquered in shades of black, with gilded bronze capitals and bases that connect to a mixtilinear base. Due to their significant size and distinctly decorative character, these consoles can be placed in entrances, corridors, and halls, as well as in reception areas, suitable for pairing with antique furnishings and equally in modern decor settings.
Note some minor losses to the veneered wood parts.
