Elegant presidential writing desk veneered entirely in bois de rose, embellished with gilded bronze trim and handles. The gilded bronze finishes, characterized by a splendid gilding, further enhance the refinement of this desk, such as the band surrounding the top, the vegetal scrolls present on the front and legs, and a medallion with the sun on the sides. The desk also stands out for its curved legs and its slightly undulating shape on all sides. The top, of great value, is covered in calfskin leather, decorated with small plant engravings along the edges and in the center. The desk is also designed to be placed in the center of the room, with drawers on both sides, but can be opened exclusively from the front. This desk is a unique piece of furniture, capable of furnishing any environment with taste and refinement. French manufacture from the first half of the 19th century.
