Refined Louis XVI style writing desk in walnut burl and inlays. Made of walnut burl, the piece immediately captures attention thanks to its rich wooden texture and the exquisite craftsmanship of the inlays. The clean lines and tapered legs in the shape of an inverted truncated pyramid are typical of the neoclassical style, giving the piece a sense of lightness and harmony. The leg stems are finely fluted and constricted at the joint. The surface of the top is characterized by a radial pattern that converges towards a central octagonal panel. This panel houses a delicate boxwood inlay depicting a seated allegorical figure playing the flute and surrounded by plant elements. The piece offers remarkable functionality, with a central drawer flanked by two drawers on each side. The drawers are finished with inlaid bois de rose threads and chiseled brass vents. The sides are also noteworthy, with rectangular panels featuring diamond-shaped inlays and, in the center, a round medallion. Of Lombard origin, it is datable to the 19th century. The dimensions are as follows: 95 x 48 cm, height 78 cm. A regular certificate of authenticity with photo is issued. We guarantee a response to your emails within 24 hours. REGISTERED IN THE REGISTER OF EXPERTS AND CTU AT THE COURT OF LA SPEZIA.
