Slant-front desk veneered in wood and walnut burl with ebonized frames. Lombardy, 18th century
DescriptionSlant-front desk with a majestic movement on the center, Lombard from the mid-18th century. The construction is in walnut, walnut burl and ebonized frames in different shapes (sides different from the central and upper part) with six drawers inside, of which the two central ones are slightly recessed. The body and back are in poplar. The piece of furniture is surmounted by the upper part called the "priest's hat", in this case separable from the lateral end. The drop-leaf top is superimposed on an under-top drawer, separated by a projecting ebonized strip. Curved supports with curls.
