DescriptionWalnut and burr walnut veneered slant-front desk with a majestic central curve, Lombardy, mid-18th century. The construction is in walnut, burr walnut, and ebonized frames in various shapes (sides different from the central and upper part) with six drawers inside, of which the two central ones are slightly recessed. The frame and back are made of poplar. The piece is topped by the upper part called "priest's hat", in this case open from the lateral end. The drop-front desk is superimposed on an under-top drawer, separated by a projecting ebonized strip. Curved supports with scrolls.
