Book table Writing desk Console Louis XVI inlaid Rolo
Museum and particular Book table Louis XVI console table inlaid Rolo, in solid walnut, and inlays of various woods (maple, plum, cherry etc.), dating back to the second half of the 18th century. Produced with the knife inlay technique and committed inlay, both used here. On the top, inside a double square motif with maple threads and plum wood inlays, the classic motif of overlapping rhombuses, with a central rosette element in pyrographed maple on a walnut briar background, surrounded by a thick plum wood veneer. The book opening reveals the scenographic impact, of the more accurate Rolese Tarsia with always the maple threaded frame
