Elegant Renaissance-style dressing table mirror, in hand-chased brass with floral decorations and an image of Cupid in the center. The mirror, which has a book-shaped, disappearing pedestal, can also be mounted on the wall, as its pedestal does not add thickness when closed. The embossed fretwork holds various diamond-cut mirrors in place. The work is of Italian Neo-Renaissance manufacture, datable to the 19th century.
