PAIR OF NEOCLASSICAL MIRRORS WITH ENGRAVED GLASS, LATE 18TH CENTURY
Beautiful pair of neoclassical mirrors with finely carved and gilded Swiss pine wood frames. The frames feature elaborate decoration at the top, with a cymatium characterized by volutes and floral swirls. The mirrors, in good condition, are adorned in the center with two engraved figures – a man and a woman – representative of the classical appeal, complete with garments, ornaments and attributes symbolizing the allegory of the seasons. These mirrors, of undeniable taste and refinement, are able to add class and elegance to any environment. Made by a Neapolitan manufacture during the neoclassical period, between the late 18th and early 19th centuries.
