Victorian Canterbury dating back to the mid-19th century (circa 1850). This piece stands out for its superb craftsmanship and the quality of the material, walnut, which exhibits a splendid grain, particularly evident in the lower and upper shelf. Features and Technical Details: Type: Canterbury (magazine rack, music holder) with integrated drawer. Era: Victorian, mid-19th century (c. 1850). Material: Solid walnut with walnut burl sections, glossy finish that enhances the depth and richness of the grain. Structure: Top Shelf: Features a shaped and fretwork-carved edge, with a central decorative motif that adds a touch of refinement. Ideal as a surface for decorative objects or a reading lamp. Central Compartments: Four vertical dividers, finely carved with volute and scroll motifs, create three distinct compartments. These are perfect for organizing sheet music, magazines, books or documents. The turned wooden horizontal crosspieces between the dividers add stability and a further aesthetic detail. Lower Shelf: Large and solid, with a rich wood grain, it offers a stable base and additional support space. Drawer: Integrated at the bottom, with a bulging and shaped front profile, equipped with two original turned knobs.
