DescriptionEighteenth-century painted wardrobe from the Marche region, Italy. The front of the piece of furniture consists of two doors, with four main panels depicting architectural capriccios and painted sides. The entire background of the furniture is mustard-colored, embellished with festoons placed on the sides of the frontal landscapes. The lower part of the front is a drawer framed by a beautiful landscape on a blue background. The furniture is characterized by an upper cornice with traces of gilding oxidation, in the various frames that frame the landscapes there are still veiled traces of gilding that further embellish and enhance the shapes.
