Inlaid jewelry table
Inlaid coffee table with liftable lid,
made in France in the second half of the 19th century
Walnut plated in the dark parts and birch root in the light ones.
The top has an eight-pointed star and
a square frame made with the toppo inlay technique.
The two initials R & W inserted on the sides of the star
are probably the client's initials
Turned legs connected by a central peg
The lid, with working lock,
lifts up and can be locked at different angles.
Inside there is a removable drawer divided into small compartments,
further down a sliding drawer with knob
The maximum height with open lid is 67 cm
Restored and polished internally and externally with shellac
