DescriptionThis 18th-century Sicilian table is made with various types of wood, including rosewood, walnut, and maple. The rectangular top features a sophisticated geometric and radial decoration in the center, with a star motif inscribed within a contrasting wood frame. The edge is embellished with a bronze profile. The side bands are enriched with inlays featuring geometric and linear patterns, highlighted by the use of woods of different shades to create effects of depth and chromatic contrast, in addition to a finely worked bronze profile. The corners are emphasized by fluted vertical panels, typical of the Sicilian neoclassical style. The tapered and fluted legs contribute to the elegance of the piece, adding lightness to the structure.
