Elegant Empire Guéridon in Mahogany and White Marble
Splendid serving table (Guéridon) in full Empire style, made of fine solid mahogany with gold leaf details. The piece stands out for its rigorous architectural lines and the balanced chromatic contrast between the warm tones of the wood and the purity of the marble.
Main Features:
Structure: Supported by three elegant cylindrical mahogany columns, finished with capitals and ring bases in carved and gilded wood.
Tops: The piece has two circular recessed shelves in white Carrara marble that give brightness and prestige to the piece.
Base: Trilobed cross base with shaped profile with concave sides, resting on sturdy flattened onion feet, typical of neoclassical cabinetmaking.
Details: Presence of gilded ferrules halfway up the column that echo the motif of the capitals, creating a harmonious visual rhythm.
State of Conservation:
The piece is in excellent general condition with shellac polishing.
