Small round inlaid coffee table
Coffee table with geometric inlays on the top and on the stem.
The inlays are made with the "toppo" inlay technique,
a process commonly used in Italy throughout the nineteenth century.
This process consisted in gluing together wooden strips of different essences
and after cutting the blocks obtained,
exploit the color difference of the sections
to create various geometric shapes with which to decorate surfaces.
The round top rests on a central leg supported by three feet.
Restored and polished with shellac
