Venetian three-legged walnut table, inlaid top with segments – Early 19th century
Elegant center table from the Veneto region, likely from Vicenza, dating back to the very early 19th century. The piece features a refined round walnut top with radial "segment" inlay, created by joining elements of wood chosen for grain and chromatic depth. The top, 55 cm in diameter, retains a beautiful antique patina and a typical Venetian craftsmanship from the late 18th and early 19th centuries. The edge of the top shows slight undulations and minor signs of use consistent with age; the surface shows normal wood settling and slight natural movement, without compromising its stability and legibility. On the back of the furniture, there are some antique replacements of the veneer along the lower edge, visible upon close examination. The belt is equipped with a front drawer; the lock has been replaced in recent times with a modern model, while maintaining the functionality of the opening. The structure rests on three elegant saber legs in solid walnut, which give balance and slenderness to the whole. Overall, the table is in good condition, with an excellent patina, authentic flavor of time and no structural issues.
