Circular mahogany feather table with marble top
Important center table in mahogany feather with marble top, first half of the 19th century, France.
The circular tabletop is made of precious Payolle Vert, an elegant light pink marble with intense green veins; in addition, the top is profiled in gilded bronze.
The band is decorated with gilded bronze stars and the trilobed base is punctuated by finely detailed gilded sphinxes and rests on ebonized feral feet, surmounted by a decoration of gilded friezes and palmettes.
