Piano di forma rettangolare sorretto ai lati da due sostegni terminanti a doppia mensola in alto e in basso, riuniti da un’unica traversa le cui testate fuoriescono dai supporti e sono fermate dalle due originali biette che si incastrano in un foro praticato nella traversa stessa.

Da notare l’eleganza nella modanatura delle mensole, e il grande cassetto con l’incastro chiodato sul fronte che scorre per tutta la lunghezza del tavolo e che, spinto da un lato, dà la possibilità al desco di essere usato come scrittoio.

Rectangular desk in walnut, Tuscany, 15th century

Rectangular-shaped top supported on the sides by two supports ending in a double bracket at the top and bottom, joined by a single crosspiece whose heads protrude from the supports and are stopped by the two original wedges that fit into a hole made in the crosspiece itself.

Note the elegance in the molding of the shelves, and the large drawer with the nailed joint on the front that runs along the entire length of the table and which, pushed to one side, allows the desco to be used as a writing desk.

A typical expression of that taste and harmony that make the Tuscan furnishings of this era unsurpassed models of measured architecture and balance.

Bureau rectangulaire en noyer, Toscane, XVe siècle

Dessus de forme rectangulaire soutenu sur les côtés par deux supports se terminant par une double équerre en haut et en bas, réunis par une traverse unique dont les têtes dépassent des supports et sont arrêtées par les deux cales d'origine qui s'emboîtent dans un trou pratiqué dans la traverse lui-même.

A noter l'élégance de la moulure des étagères, et le grand tiroir au joint clouté en façade qui court sur toute la longueur de la table et qui, poussé sur le côté, permet d'utiliser le desco comme bureau.

Une expression typique de ce goût et de cette harmonie qui font du mobilier toscan de cette époque des modèles inégalés d'architecture et d'équilibre mesurés.
