Elegant round center table, made in the Veneto area in the early decades of the 19th century, in a transitional phase between the Empire style and the lighter forms of the Charles X period. The work has a solid and well-proportioned structure, supported by a sturdy turned central leg and moved tripod, with a separation thread and central wooden screw. The top, with a diameter of 121 cm and a height of 77 cm, is entirely veneered in walnut, with a burr edge (probably elm) and inlays with geometric motifs in light and exotic woods. The central decoration is embellished with a refined inlaid design in the shape of an eight-petal daisy, in contrasting woods, which creates a pleasant iridescent effect depending on the light. Two extractable drawers complete the structure, perfectly integrated into the apron, which add practicality without altering the formal balance. The table was restored a few years ago and is in excellent condition, with minimal signs of wear consistent with the era. The surface is protected by a varnish finish, which may need to be slightly revived before being placed in the environment. An object with a strong decorative impact, suitable as a center table in a reception hall, ideal under a large Venetian chandelier, according to traditional use.
