Inlaid table Rolo in Cappello del Prete
Rolo inlaid Priest's Hat table,
in solid walnut and inlays of various woods,
dating back to the second half of the 19th century.
in full second Empire period.
The structural characteristics, are those of this period,
shape of the quatrefoil top,
simple baluster stem, with ring prominence
and pronounced throat, Flemish volute feet,
with inverted curl.
Particular the workmanship of the top,
where in the center of an intertwining motif,
executed on parquet, the figure of a dog is inlaid,
obtained with a technique, reminiscent of Tunbridge mosaic work,
widely used in England in the 1800s.
The sailing position,
facilitates the arrangement even in confined spaces
and creates an effect, picture.
