Unique inlaid Emiliano "Priest's Hat" Table
Museum-quality and precious Inlaid "Priest's Hat" Table, completely in solid walnut and walnut veneer and walnut root on walnut, with field maple inlays, dating back to the mid-19th century and built in the Emiliano area, during the Second Empire period. The structural characteristics are those of this period, quadrilobed shape of the top, simple baluster leg, with an emphasized ring and pronounced throat, ending feet, with inverted curl. Particular is the workmanship of the top, where a floral palmette motif appears in the center, in field maple, as for the band that follows the perimeter, but here worked with decoration, with a hot iron. Incredible piece of furniture for shape and dimensions, excellent for consistency and stability, perfectly and professionally restored. Viewing and possible pick-up on site is welcome. Measures: cm 137X103X81 high.
