ARM252 - Walnut wardrobe, two doors, 18th century, measures cm L 116 x H 198 x D 35
ARM252 - Antique two-door wardrobe made of solid walnut wood.
It features a very elaborate and curvilinear shaped upper frame.
The "gendarme hat" profile (concave and convex) is typical of 18th-century wardrobes.
It is characterized by a slender and shallow structure, also ideal for small spaces and corridors.
It is enriched by sculpted panels on the two doors, with curved lines and moldings, which reinforce the impression of a Baroque or Louis XV style.
Inside there are numerous shelves, which make it perfect also as a cupboard or bookcase.
The hinges are external, typical of antique furniture.
The feet are quite low and sober, which is consistent with a rustic but elegant piece of furniture.
The furniture appears in good structural condition, although it shows signs of wear and tear, which are typical and, indeed, enhance its authenticity.
18th century. Origin: Piedmont.
