Small tankard in gilded silver, rare and splendid jewel of German silverware, entirely covered with silver coins. They are Thaler of the Duchy of Saxony coined in the late 1500s with the portrait of the three brothers heirs of Duke Christian I, who were still children at his death in 1591. Therefore the three brothers Christian II °, Johan Georg I ° and August were initially up to 1601, under the tutelage of Friedrich Wilhelm of Saxony. They are an incredible series of ancient coins already of great historical value in themselves. Some, larger, are dated 1597 and 1600. The precious artifact is in excellent condition and the lid is hinged again.
