George III sterling silver coffee pot, William Cripps, London, 1762
Of baluster form on a domed circular foot, with a shell-capped volute spout, opposite a C-scroll wooden handle, attached to shell and scroll decorated sockets. The hinged, double-domed lid is surmounted by an artichoke-shaped finial. The body features contemporary embossed decoration with bouquets of flowers and foliate scrolls. An coat of arms is engraved on one side.
