Description George III sterling silver teapot, Paul Storr, London, 1810. Sterling silver teapot, with a low and compact shape. Gadroon shaped edges both on the top and at the base of the teapot. An emblem is engraved on the front. Lid featuring a wire hinge and topped with a round knob. Sterling silver hallmarked with 5 hallmarks: Maker's mark: Paul Storr Lion passant: alloy mark. Guarantees the sterling silver .925 purity Leopard's head with a crown: City of London Date letter code: 1810 Duty mark: King George III head Dimensions HxWxD: 12.5cm x 27cm x 13.5cm Weight Gross weight: 712g Provenance Private collection Conditions Slight signs of wear and superficial scratches. The five hallmarks are present at the base of the teapot. The marks for the manufacturer's logo, lion passant and date letter year are present at the base of the lid.
