Tapered cylindrical body on a molded foot, entirely chased with rocaille, scrolls, garlands of fruit and flowers, with a bird's neck spout and a wooden scroll handle, the lid with a removable pin and surmounted by a flower terminal, each side chased with a rococo cartouche enclosing an engraved coat of arms on one side. Sterling silver hallmarked with 5 hallmarks: Maker's mark: George Cowie Lion passant: alloy mark. Guarantee check of sterling title 925/1000 Leopard's head with crown: city of London Date letter year: 1826 Duty mark: King George IV head Dimensions HxWxD 26.5cm x 24cm x 11cm Weight Gross weight: 1,180gr Provenance Private collection Conditions Slight signs of wear and superficial scratches.
