The lid has a circular knob and lobed decorations. Sterling silver marked with 5 hallmarks: Maker's mark: Paul Storr Lion passant: alloy mark. Sterling 925/1000 fineness guarantee Leopard's head with crown: city of London Date letter year: 1813 Duty mark: King George III's head Dimensions HxWxD 27.5cm x 41.5cm x 20.5cm Weight 2,422gr Provenance Private collection Condition Slight signs of wear consistent with age and superficial scratches. The five hallmarks are present at the base of the soup tureen. On the side of the lid we find the maker's mark, the lion passant, the date letter year and the duty mark.
