Complete with hallmarks, clear and legible impressed on the base, stand, burner, lid and handle. Sterling silver marked with 5 hallmarks: Maker's mark: Paul Storr for Storr & Mortimer Lion passant: alloy mark. Sterling silver standard guarantee 925­/1000 Leopard's head with crown: City of London Date letter year: 1837 Duty mark: King William IV head Dimensions HxWxD 37cm x 31.5cm x 26cm Weight 2,788gr Provenance Private collection Conditions Slight signs of wear and superficial scratches. The five hallmarks are present on the base of the kettle. Storr & Mortimer with the number 373 on the base of the kettle. On the handle the lion passant, the maker's mark and the duty mark.
