Veneto (Late 17th - Early 18th century) Box with winged Victory and Putto and noble coat of arms Dimensions: cm. 25 x 50 x 36 The walnut box with molded frames, centered by underglass mirrors in fabric embroidered in polychrome silk threads, silver and gilded, is decorated on the lid by a perspective view with winged Vittoria and cherubs supporting a crowned noble coat of arms, within decorative grisaille motifs that recall the frescoed ones of many ceilings of seventeenth-eighteenth-century noble residences. Still lifes with panoplies appear on the sides and front. The feet are circular and the inside is covered in damask silk with orange-red flowers.
