Pair of CASSOLETTE vases.
Manufacture France, epoch and style I Empire. Measures cn h. 41. Cast bronze, chiseled, patnated and mercury gilded. These amphorae are equipped with a lid, the handles are volute, the circular decorations are chiseled like a gudrone. The plinth is adorned at the front with a pendant of figures depicting a Psique, with dragonfly wings, and the other Amore; on the sides garlands. A vase is called cassolette when it has a reversible lid, which transforms it into a candlestick.
